This company does everything we do and lots more including assistance with showering or dressing, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, medications reminders, respite care, meal preparation, and transportation to doctors, events or outings. And they are contracted with the Veterans Administration to provide free in-home care for veterans who served during wartime. Minimum 2 hours per visit at $35-$40/hour.

Cost is $34-36 per hour, typically for a minimum of 4 hours with overnight visits if needed.

If you have a medical condition such as Parkinsons, dementia, issues with your heart or kidney or other progressive  medical condition, you may be qualified to receive routine home care or home health services including assistance with showering. Transportation

Some Medicare Advantage plans include round trip transportation to your doctor; One Medical and some other senior primary care doctor’s offices provide transportation for their patients

You can now call to request a ride without the Uber app. Must use a cell phone though because you receive text confirmation to your cell phone. Agent will set up account and you pay with credit card – will add $5 for to each ride for this service.

Valley Metro Paratransit / Dial-a-Ride

Door-to-door transportation for $3-4 each way via paratransit shuttle or Uber/Lyft for residents with a disability preventing them from taking bus or light rail. Drivers do not provide rider assistance or go inside destination, but riders can bring a “personal care assistant” along for company (PCA rides for free). You must go to the Valley Metro office for an in-person interview. They will send a shuttle or if we have funds available, we can set up an Uber/Lyft ride for you. Learn more and get application >
